Sara is a transplanted Texan who got her BS in Ecology, Evolution and Behavior from the University of Texas at Austin. Before moving to New Hampshire, she worked for Bat Conservation International in Austin where she spent her days on speaking engagements, convincing gaggles of Texans that bats are loveable and fascinating creatures. Previous to this stint, she was a teacher, a zoo keeper, and an interpreter in the Middle East. Since finishing work on the Vermont Butterfly Survey, she has been focused on the Vermont Bumblebee Survey and is looking forward to work on the next group of insects. Sara lives in New Hampshire with her husband and multiple animals. She enjoys too many things to list, but most notably running, bantering with Kent McFarland, laughing, and experiencing different cultures through shoestring travel.
