Eli (she/they) earned a B.S. in Conservation and Resource Studies with an emphasis in Ecology and GIS from UC Berkeley. Growing up near the Santa Monica Mountains in Southern California, Eli developed a passion for native species preservation and conservation. Within UC Berkeley’s College of Natural Resources, she gained experience mapping native species habitat suitability, as well as mapmaking for socio-environmental justice research. Her time after college was spent working plant restoration and botany internships with the Santa Monica Mountains National Park Service, and as an outdoor educator. At VCE, she is interested in utilizing GIS applications to better understand migration patterns and population dynamics of vulnerable species. She spends her freetime missing her dogs back in California, plant IDing, and wheel throwing.
