David McKenna was a Managing Partner of Advent International, a global private equity firm. He joined Advent as an analyst in 1992 and retired from Advent in 2022. During his time at Advent, he served on Advent’s Executive Committee and several of its investment committees. He co-led Advent’s North American team and oversaw Advent’s Asian investment operations. He and his family lived in Hong Kong for two years.
Mr. McKenna graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with an AB in English. He currently serves as a Trustee of Dartmouth College. He previously served as trustee and treasurer of Middlesex School in Concord, MA. He lives in Sudbury, Massachusetts, with his wife Julie McColl McKenna, whom he met in college on his freshman hiking trip. They have a home in Pomfret, Vermont, and four children, two of whom are studying to become foresters.
