Tim is an author, freelance science writer, and a longtime resident with his wife and family of Taftsville, Vermont. Previously, he served as executive director of the Vermont Institute of Natural Science and the Upper Valley Land Trust. He also served as communication director for the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund and co-directed the non-profit social service organization COVER Home Repair. He has been a board member of Vermont Audubon and chair of the Vermont River Conservancy. He earned a BS degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Vermont and an MS degree from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
