After 15 years as an educator, Peter left the academic world in 1995 to pursue a career in the Fine Arts. He is the recipient of grants from the NEA, Delaware Council of the Arts, the Ballinglen Arts Foundation, and The Richard Estes Acadia Foundation. His work is represented by Gallery NAGA in Boston, the David Findlay Jr. Gallery in New York and Dolan/Maxwell in Philadelphia. His paintings are included in many corporate, public, and private collections including the MFA in Boston, the University of Pennsylvania, the LaSalle Art Museum, the Yale Art Museum, and the Art Complex Museum.
