Prior to joining the development team at VCE, Alyssa ran a specialty cut flower farm in Montana. Her interest in ecology and conservation began at an early age when her parents shared their love for marine ecosystems with her. Over time, Alyssa’s love for ecology morphed into a passion for farming and managing agroecosystems. Throughout her journey she’s worked in various program roles in nonprofits, which inspired her to explore a career in nonprofit development. Alyssa holds a MS in Sustainable Food Systems, a BA in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology, and a BA in Neuroscience.
In her free time, you can find Alyssa walking in the woods or working in the garden with her husband and their dog.
