Kevin is a seasonal biologist collecting data for the Plant Provenance Project under VCE’s Conservation Biologist Dr. Desirée Narango. He’s worked closely with Dr. Narango for the last two years, learning to band and collect data on high elevation birds and launching his own personal research project to understand how automated radiotelemetry can be used to study breeding behaviors in female gray catbirds.
Kevin earned his BS in Wildlife Science from Paul Smith’s College, and is near completing his MS in Natural Resources and Ecology from SUNY Plattsburgh. When not serving as an ecologist, he’s often cooking, wrangling sheep on his family farm, or foraging for mushrooms or other edible goods.
