VCE Vlog: Field Update from the Great North Woods
VCE Director of Science John Lloyd recently emerged from the Great North Woods long enough to seek out a WiFi signal to share this brief update from the field. All of us here at VCE were relieved to see that the mosquitoes had not yet carried him away. Watch John battle bugs while describing his innovative research project on Bicknell’s Thrush in low-elevation, balsam-fir commercial timberland forests of Maine and New Hampshire.

A fellow who has worked in the woods up here for 27 years told us that he remembers only one other year with so many blackflies …so I guess things could be worse 🙂
