    Observer’s Previous Acquaintance With This or Similar Species

    There are nesting Fish Crows in my home county of Essex in Schroon Lake, NY. I have observed and recorded Fish Crows in Schroon Lake. I have also birded in Florida several times and spent many hours on a golf cart in Florida listening to Fish Crows vocalize. Feel very comfortable with separating this species from AMCR by call.

    Description of Habitat

    This lone bird flew over me as I was walking along the trail west of the creek and north of Lake Champlain.

    It flew in a straight line repeatedly vocalizing

    small all black crow flying towards me and passing overhead vocalizing repeatedly the nasal flight call of a Fish Crow.
