Jason enjoys the challenge of designing and building physical and virtual objects that work well and will last. He holds a BA in Physics from the University of Vermont, and has over twenty years of experience as a software developer, both as consultant and employee. In addition, Jason spent several years as a shipwright working on wooden boats in mid-coast Maine, and a decade running a small construction firm in the Upper Valley which specialized in timber frames and high efficiency homes.
When not developing software for VCE, Jason enjoys sailing, hiking, soccer, skiing, and ice hockey—but these days most of his free time is spent doing whatever his young son wants to do, or renovating his old house. He also runs the outdoor ice rink, coaches youth soccer, and sits on the Recreation Board in his home town.
