The New Year always brings new hopes for naturalists to find amazing things in the wild. But sometimes it’s the most common species that evoke wonder from us. An image of an American Robin actively feeding on berries captured this essence. Congratulations to this month’s winner, Joanne Russo, for her amazing shot.  Keep adding your photo-observations to iNaturalist Vermont, a project of the Vermont Atlas of Life, and maybe you will be the February winner!
