Alyssa is a member of VCE’s fundraising team focused on database management, gift processing, and field trips. Prior to joining VCE in 2022, Alyssa owned a specialty cut flower farm, taught garden and food education in elementary schools, worked on trail crews, grew vegetables on farms around the country, worked in after-school programs, and completed wildlife surveys for the Forest Service. Throughout her journey, her experiences in various program roles in nonprofits inspired her to explore a career in nonprofit development. She earned her Master’s degree in Sustainable Food Systems from Montana State University and Bachelor’s degrees in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology and Neuroscience from the University of Colorado.
Alyssa lives in Montpelier, where she spends her free time wrangling her toddler and Australian Shepherd, tending her garden, and diving into her many creative hobbies.
