Colleen is joining VCE as a Ground-Truthing Technician during the spring and early summer working under Brian Kron. She will also be assisting with the Second Vermont Butterfly Atlas. Colleen lives in New Hampshire and has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Coby-Sawyer College. She has held a variety of seasonal and longer-term positions in both field and lab settings ranging from NH Fish and Game’s Karner Blue Butterfly Project to working as a member of the Wetland Department at Normandeau Associates. Colleen is an avid citizen scientist and has contributed to projects such as the NH Butterfly Monitoring Network count circles, Green Crab data collection, and more. Colleen aspires to work in a long-term ecology position contributing to our understanding of the natural word and assisting with the conservation of our native species.
