Edy is an Insect Ecologist and the new seasonal technician for the “Wild Bees on Farms” project. His previous work at The Land Institute was focused on the effect of new crops on pollinator communities and insect management of new pests. His other ecology related interests include insect behavior (insect food choices, response to competition and to climate change) and the evolution of eusociality in insects. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Utica College and a M.S. in Biology focused on Ecology from Shippensburg University.
Outside of work Edy enjoys all the outdoor activities (hiking, camping, biking), board games, experimenting with novel ingredients in baking, communal cooking and making handleless functional pottery.
