Fiona is a New Englander with years of experience spanning the fields of outdoor education, nonprofit marketing and development, and science communication. Her work has included illustrating 12 children’s books (many with natural history themes), creating animations to convey science concepts, and storyboarding for a hopeful and award-winning documentary film about the importance of water in a changing climate.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Connecticut College and a master’s certificate in science illustration from Cal State, Monterey Bay.
Fiona lives with her husband and young children in central Vermont, where they raise a menagerie of farm animals and pets.
