The Natural and UnNatural Life of Loons

VCE loon biologist, Eric Hanson, recently spoke to a crowd at our monthly Suds & Science series at the Norwich Inn. Eric discussed the “natural and unnatural history” of the Common Loon recovery in Vermont over the past 25 years. Thanks to CATV 8/10 for producing a video of the event, you can learn about it too. You’ll hear about everything from late-night rescues of loons in distress to what information loons convey in their calls to one another.
