Grassland Bird Outreach
Vernal Pool Monitoring Program
Kevin began at VCE as an ECO AmeriCorps member and became a full-time staff member after completing his service. He now splits his time between vernal pool and avian research, working closely with local conservation groups and community members to conserve wildlife throughout the state.
Hailing from the shores of coastal Maine, Kevin received his M.S. in wildlife biology from The University of Vermont in 2025, his undergrad alma mater, where he was awarded the Outstanding M.S. Research and Scholarship award. Growing up he was always interested in the nature surrounding him, particularly the reptiles, amphibians, and bugs found in and around his backyard vernal pool, as well as the creatures stranded in tide pools at his local state parks.
When not knee-deep in vernal pools or chest-deep in hayfields, Kevin enjoys birding, hiking, rock climbing, and skiing.
