This community science project is great for all levels of invertebrate observers, from the, “I think that’s a butterfly?” crowd, to the top observers on iNaturalist. You can get started with just a few steps.

- Download the iNaturalist Classic app or visit inaturalist.org and sign up.
- Search for the Pollinator Interactions on Plants project and join.
- Take pictures of pollinators visiting your flowers.
- Upload to iNaturalist and select the PIP project.
- Under Interaction->Visited flower of put the flower that the insect is visiting. If you don’t know, that’s okay.
- Select the insect for the observation. It will suggest an insect species, genus, or family. If you’re not sure, that’s okay! An expert will check.
- Click SHARE.
