Dr. John Lloyd is currently the Associate Director of Science at the American Wind Wildlife Institute (AWWI), a nonprofit organization with a mission to support the development of renewable energy while at the same time protecting wildlife and wildlife habitat. Prior to joining AWWI, John was the inaugural Director of Science at VCE and the Senior Research Ecologist at the Ecostudies Institute in Olympia, Washington. He has a PhD in Wildlife Biology from the University of Montana, where he studied the ecology, evolution, and conservation of Chestnut-collared Longspurs, and an MS in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Arizona, where he also studied grassland-bird ecology and conservation. John lives in South Strafford, Vermont, with his family.
